History

The Children's Montessori School of Port Angeles was founded in 1992 by Sally Garlick with a vision of creating a nurturing Montessori environment where children develop independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Beginning in the First Presbyterian Church, the school later moved to East 8th Street before finding its current home within the First Baptist Church of Port Angeles.

For more than 30 years, our school has been a part of the Port Angeles community. Current and alumni families continue to shape our community through their involvement as guest presenters, field trip hosts, and Board members. Today, we continue to nurture confident, compassionate, and capable learners through the Montessori ideals of respect, independence, exploration, and connection.
